Christmas in Sweden Survives Longer Than Most Traditions
Sweden celebrates an extended Christmas season starting December 13 with Lucia. The piece notes Lucia queens, Julklappar gift exchanges, goat figures, and long lasting Christmas trees. It also describes Jultomte, porridge for tomte, and a traditional smorgasbord with nutfish. A VA report mentions four Christmases among veterans and other holiday fun.
