Mt Snow airport becomes municipal facility after vote

Wilmington voters approved sponsoring Mt Snow airport as a municipal facility by 89 to 61, enabling state and federal aid for expansion. A zoning change allows two houses per acre in planned developments with water, sewage, and open land guarantees for schools and parks. Christie of Mt Snow outlined a possible 3600 foot extension funded by state and federal sources. The project, built at Mt Snow expense, faces liability questions but would cost Wilmington nothing as a leaseback.
