Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Caron of 118 River Street Bennington marked their 25th wedding anniversary with a surprise party at the North Bennington Firehouse hosted by daughters Dolores and Denise. The couple wed November 27 1948. About 100 guests attended as gifts of money and silver were given. The cake was made by Mrs. Margaret Hoyt, catered by Mrs. Gail Batese and her daughter Mrs. Kim Guetti, with music by Maurice Rancourt's band.

Intersession courses offered at St. Joseph College
St. Joseph College of Bennington offers January intersession with two three credit courses. Students may register through Jan. 5 and earn six credits by taking two classes. Classes start Jan. 7 with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. The Vermont Education Board approved BA English with teaching minor and BSA degrees, with conferral possible in May 1974. The college, currently 215 students, expects enrollment to rise to about 250.
