He blamed Environmental Board Chair Schuyler Jackson for delays and questioned his election legitimacy, warning the legislature could void Jackson’s regulations if needed. Kennedy recalled his Act 250 role and pressed for clearer maps and a fair land-use tax plan.

December meeting notes for Southern Vermont Snow Goers club
The Southern Vermont Snow Goers held a December meeting at the Community Recreation Center with under half the members present. Discussions covered the club trail system and VAST signs, plus plans to present a mapped topographical trail at the next meeting. John Brochu spoke on gas shortages and the club hopes snowmobilers’ revenue will improve access. the February Northeast Kingdom Ride is open for applications via Wanda Mooney, with lodging already filling in St Johnsbury and nearby towns. The next meeting is January 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1332 and affiliated groups will host a Christmas supper on December 18 at 7:30 p.m. at post rooms, with a crazy auction to follow. The children’s Christmas party is this Saturday at 2 p.m. at the post rooms, and a New Year’s Eve celebration is planned for members and qualified guests with reservations through Chub Steward.
