Hoosac School Keeps Old Christmas Yule Log Tradition
Hoosac School in Hoosick N Y readies its annual two part Yule Log pageant begun in 1891. Students rehearse in Elizabethan costumes among masques and the Jester role, guided by Headmaster H Ashton Crosby Jr. with retired organist Frank Charles Butcher's musical arrangements.

The Hilltop 414 Club met at the First United Methodist Church on Nov 25 with Lori Harwood acting treasurer in the president’s absence. Members learn sewing on aprons, and funds from Kathryn Reich candy and 1973 calendars support camp and clothing projects. Next project meeting Dec 16 at 9:30 am. holiday party Dec 16 at 7:30 pm in church social rooms. December business meeting at 7 pm prior to the party.
