Seven Nabbed in Bennington Drug Raids
An undercover state police and Bennington Village police operation resulted in seven arrests for felonious possession of marijuana and LSD. Those charged include Ellen Burt 19 Steven Smith 22 Sylvia Durfee 18 Joanne Hyman 24 Louis Goodman 21 and Donald Andrews 22. Two raids were conducted at 318 Main Street and on the Bennington College campus. Bail amounts ranged from 250 to 2750 with hearings scheduled.
