98 Year Old Purdy Shuns Moon Trip and Keeps Gardening
Manchester resident Robert Purdy, aged 98, jokes he would not ride to the moon but enjoys a long life of farming, canasta, and community admiration. He raised 100 pumpkin plants, 1200 feet of peas, 2000 strawberry plants, and 275 raspberry bushes while caring for his garden and family at Purdy Hill.
