Warden among poachers slain in Italian hunting preserve
In the Stupigini preserve south of Turin poachers killed a game warden and wounded three police after a gun duel. The warden died and two officers were hit by shotgun blasts as they arrived at the scene. The hunters escaped. The preserve had been owned by the kings of Italy before the republic.
