Hale Co. strike hits 120 Local 164 workers
EAST ARLINGTON One hundred twenty workers of Local 164 United Furniture Workers of America walked out Monday at Hale Co furniture manufacturers after contract expiration midnight Nov 30. Local President Lawrence Ott said two meetings with company officials yielded no settlement. He charged the firm wants to take away without giving. Company officials could not be reached for comment. Hale makes cabinets chairs and dinette sets.

Novice Flyer Steals Plane Then Dives Toward Ocean
