Language Lab Installed at Mt Anthony Union High School
Mt Anthony Union High School has installed a 30 seat language laboratory a 25 seat electronics classroom and a 15 unit dial access system to aid French and other language learning. The $30000 system funded half by Raytheon and 30 percent by the state with the balance from local bonds expands listening and pronunciation practice while preserving traditional methods. Andre Dorais says it helps beginners though some students cannot access the annex. Half of senior high pupils now take a language with plans for more levels and possibly German or Russian next year.
