Search for missing light plane grows in New Hampshire
Snow and poor visibility hampered the search for a light plane missing between Berlin New Hampshire and Burlington Vermont since Saturday. The Civil Air Patrol in Lebanon said multiple sightings were reported along the flight path but no confirmation of the aircraft. Parachutists dressed as Santa Claus and the pilot were aboard the single engine craft. A 2,500 foot ceiling and visibility under five miles limited flight operations as a large search effort involving 27 aircraft and 47 sorties totaled about 60 air hours. The NY CAP centered near Lincoln led the operation with promises to resume if weather improves.
