Miss Joan Martin Surprise Bridal Shower Held at Firehouse

Miss Joan Martin daughter of Mr and Mrs William Martin Jr of 129 McKinley Street was honored at a surprise bridal shower early this month at the Bradford Hook and Ladder firehouse. Red Cross Bloodmobile scheduled for August 30 at First Baptist Church Colgate Hall from 11 30 a m to 5 p m will include extra staff and a babysitting service for donors. MacMillan Couple Honored on 40th Wedding Anniversary

Mr and Mrs Joseph MacMillan of Millvale Drive Manchester Center were honored Aug 18 in the Garden Lounge at Equinox House for their 40th anniversary. More than 20 friends from Manchester and Bennington attended a surprise dinner dance and gave an oil painting of a local rogue by Louise Reber of Manchester. The MacMillans known as Marge and Sarge are former Connecticut residents and have lived here six years. He works as chef at the Equinox Country Club.
