The MAUHS board rejected an ACLU demand tied to the Bennington Religious Education Foundation BREF program. Czech Girl in Manchester Sees New Press Freer Voices
Miss Michakova, a Czech student in Manchester, reports that since March the free press allows dissent and interviews with controversial critics of the regime and of Russia. She notes amnesty for political prisoners during the 1950s and argues Russians influenced by Czech leaders misrepresented events. She plans a trip to New York City before returning to Prague.
