Car Disintegrates In Route 9 Mishap
A 1956 red and white Chevrolet crashed on Route 9 near Fairdale Farms, flipped into a tree, and disintegrated. Driver William T. Hardy, 20, suffered a broken pelvis and bruises but was listed in satisfactory condition. Police reported the eastbound loss of control and a broadside skid, with parts strewn along the road and meadow fence.
