Crowds exceeded last year for Bennington Battle Day as rain held off over two days of events. Organizers estimate a weekend tab near 20 000 dollars. attendance at the drum corps competition was large and may require bleacher expansion. The St George Olympians of Springfield Massachusetts won the drum corps title, with the Lancers of Trumbull Connecticut second and the Shoreliners of Milford Connecticut third.
