Vermont Firefighters Parade Brings Bennington 10000 Strong
The 75th Vermont State Firefighters Association convention drew nearly 10 000 spectators for a 2 1/2 hour parade through Bennington with participants from four states and New York and Massachusetts visitors. The Bennington Rural won multiple trophies for parade appearance and sports, while Gov Hoff urged dedication and responsibility to serve the community. The event concluded with plans to hold the next convention in Brattleboro.

U S Sends Small Number of Bombers to the Congo
