Carving Myself by William Herrick reviewed as simple personal poetry
A critical look at William Herrick’s Carving Myself from Stonehour Press 1977 notes its handcarved print decor, warm tone, and plain language. The reviewer praises chapters like Birds and The Bee while faulting overlong sections and foreword pretensions, yet finds the book handsome and craftfully intimate overall.
