Ellsberg to be arraigned on Pentagon Papers leak charges

B52 bombers push back NVA after Nui Ba Ho base fall
In the Nui Ba Ho engagement near the DMZ South Vietnamese troops with U.S. air and artillery support hit North Vietnamese forces who overran a hilltop base. The clash left 31 South Vietnamese Marines dead and about 200 Communists killed, with 1,500 more U.S. troops withdrawn last week bringing total to 222,900. An American adviser and its Marines were evacuated by helicopter as B52s dropped 90 tons of bombs and a Phantom fired at an anti aircraft gun inside North Vietnam. South Korean troops reported 103 Communists killed in a raid near Tuy Hoa. In Maine Harvey Scribner and Berniece Abbott will receive honorary degrees at the University of Maine commencement.
