Arlington mechanic Daniel Hoffman returns home after race injury
Daniel Hoffman, longtime Arlington mechanic and owner of a modified race car, returned Wednesday from Albany Medical Center after burns suffered during a grease pit torch fuel explosion before a race in Canada on August 2. He was treated in Canada, then flown to Bennington and finally to Albany. His wife said Hoffman, who recently opened a local garage, does not race his car but owns it at tracks near Drummondville, Quebec, and they expect to finish the season.
