Shaftsbury zoning board rejects Nat Thompson variance bid
Nat Thompson, son of late author Lawrance Thompson, had his request to continue a non conforming auto repair use on Greenwich Street denied by the Shaftsbury Zoning Board. The vote was unanimous, with neighbors opposing due to noise and clutter. Thompson may pursue a town meeting vote, needing 84 signatures to contest the ruling, potentially delaying action into November.
