Too much Chekhov for a great cast THE THREE SISTERS

A Williamstown Theatre Festival production of Chekhov's The Three Sisters at Adams Memorial Theatre Williamstown features Olympia Dukakis Blythe Danner and Laurie Kennedy with solid acting but a lengthy three hour pace and pedantic tone. Direction by Nikos Psacharopoulos with sets by Tony Straiges and lighting by Roger Meeker shapes a period Russia mood though some viewers may find the play lacks action and impact.
