Satie Reissues and Ives Anger the Record Ranks

UPI reviews note Satie's fifth disc The Irreverent Inspirations of Erike Satie with pieces for waltz song Tenderly and titles like The Rat's Air and The Frog. Columbia highlights Ives songs on American themes sung by Evelyn Lear and Thomas Stewart, while Torelli and Scarlatti baroque trumpets get a new showcase. Scherbaum offers a modern touch on baroque trumpet duties with Torelli and Scarlatti works.
