Abortion foes press Vermont case after high court ruling
Willis Higgins, attorney for 19 challengers including six married women and 11 doctors, says the Vermont 1846 law banning abortion except to save a life remains unfair. He argues the D C statute differs and that the Supreme Court decision does not address the Vermont challenge on ninth amendment rights. Filed last week in Chittenden Chancery Court in Burlington for a declaratory judgment.
