Manchester weighs year-round bottle recycling plan
Manchester selectmen heard AIM Inc officers propose year-round bottle separation for recycling, tied to Green Up Day logistics and a Dayville bottling plant. State officials described a statewide pickup system, with trucks delivering cans to trailers for shipment to New Jersey. Enforceability questions arose, and action was deferred pending advisory steps. The board also approved liquor licenses, formed a senior center committee, and faced a local resident’s critique.
