St Joseph College Cleared For Reopening After Delays

St Joseph College on Old Bennington campus awaits opening after two-year delay to meet state Fire Marshal zoning and building requirements. Fire safety fixes completed yesterday include door rehangs, removal of locks, sealing a room without exit, and removal of a storm entrance. Building inspector Dewey will inspect the Monument Inn building tomorrow to verify compliance and avoid padlocking the main dormitory building.

Rodino Says We Mean Business On Tape Subpoena

Rep. Peter Rodino, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, demanded 42 presidential conversations be produced in an impeachment probe. Federal grand jury to probe Hearst role in bank robbery

A federal grand jury will decide if kidnapped Patricia Hearst was a willing participant in a nine person raid on the Hibernia Bank branch, which yielded 10 960 dollars and left two bystanders shot. U S Attorney Browning said the focus is the voluntariness of Hearst in the Monday holdup. Saxbe, US Attorney General, called Hearst a common criminal and said she was not a reluctant participant.
