Arson Suspected In Hoosick Falls Fire At Former School
Officials probing a Sunday blaze that destroyed the 96 year old Horicon Papers building in Hoosick Falls point to arson. Deputy John Sheehan said no accidental cause has been found and evidence suggests an accelerant used near the furnace. Gas cans found in areas of the building and open doors near entry points support a deliberate start. Witnesses reported seeing someone near the site before the fire. Investigators include Hoosick Falls Police, the county arson squad, fire coordinators, and state police BCI.
