Bennington Students Critique Local Landfill Practices
A group of about 25 Bennington College students held Wednesday seminars and discussed with three faculty biologists whether the Bennington landfill on Houghton Lane and its Kocher Drive predecessor meet community needs. They urged life-style shifts and proposed solutions include reactivating the college farm, organic gardening, and a compost heap to return waste to the soil.
