Material Evidence Links Captain Kaufman To German Agent

The court martial heard the first material link between U S Air Force Captain Joseph P Kaufman and former East German intelligence agent Guenter Maennel. A blue notebook with Maennel’s address in Berlin was shown as written in Kaufman’s notebook on Oct 3 1960. Arizona Man Shot by Horse in Cave Creek

Hubert E. Yates a 29 year old Phoenix man was shot in the leg when his horse kicked his pistol from its holster as he unsaddled a pack horse in Cave Creek Arizona. Deputy Sheriff Lewis Forman said the bullet struck Yates in the leg.

A Bennington man, Robert J. Harvey, 26, disappeared hours before his wedding after a party at his North Adams apartment. Two Bennington Men Change Pleas in Gambling Case

Two Bennington men arraigned on April 6 in Municipal Court changed their pleas from not guilty to guilty through their attorney George M. Fienberg.
