Burlington Diocese to consider free standing church plan
A parish study committee in Burlington will recommend building a formal free standing church to replace the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception destroyed by fire over a year ago. Committee Chairman Roger Ray said the plan will be presented to Bishop John A. Marshall of the statewide Diocese of Burlington.

Lawmakers OK fund for Rockingham study
In Montpelier the Budget and Management Department won approval to accept a $500,000 federal grant over three years. The funding backs a study on local property taxation to create a more equitable system and develop an educational financing plan called the Rockingham Plan.
