End of an era as SS President Wilson ends U S flag service
The SS President Wilson concludes 106 years of American flag passenger service with a final 9 day world cruise. About 300 passengers cried as the ship sailed under the Golden Gate, welcomed by a single fireboat. The vessel, sold to C Y Tung, will be renamed the Oriental Empress for cruises this summer.
