Hitchcock in Russia sparks thoughts for future thriller
HOLLYWOOD UPI notes Alfred Hitchcock, famed for suspense, tours behind the Iron Curtain seeking real life angles for a new movie. He envisions an American spy parachuting into Russia and a misfit sergeant accompanying him, though such a film would be hard to shoot there. He plans summer trips to Yugoslavia and Hungary for a brainwashing theme. His current project is Marnie, a psychological drama about a compulsive thief. Hitchcock says his next film will be his 50th and only one of his previous 49 failed to make money.

Be Just and Fear Not in Disarmament Talks at Geneva

Collateral measures show tentative progress amid slow pace and warnings that war avoidance remains central.
