Old Sturbridge Village Hosts Gardeners Workshop
Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge Mass plans a New England Gardeners Workshop May 10 and 11. The two day event features lectures on early Yankee gardening, village garden tours, and sessions by experts from Charlton Wethersfield and Dumbarton Oaks Washington DC. Registration starts at 9 a.m. May 10 with a reception and buffet supper Friday evening. Regional Planning Commission Terms Out At Bennington Meeting
Vermont officials outlined a nine member regional planning commission to serve until a comprehensive plan is completed. Two members from each of Bennington town and three villages plus a town area at large would form the body with open records and shared funding by tax levy. Representatives from Old Bennington and Bennington Village must report terms back for ratification.
