Letter to editor on proposed Benalla Shire loan plan

Correspondence argues against the borrowed £15,000 to fund roads, urging ratepayer input at August elections. Critiques assume 6 percent interest and sinking fund, calculating total costs and long payback. Compares to a past Warrenbayne Tatong loan, favoring shorter terms and lower total outlay. The writer, P Cunningham, calls for reconsideration and prudence.
