Mr John Conway’s long time associate Mr Charles J. Kellow of Cosgrove died after a prolonged illness. He was 58, a 42 year colonist near Rushworth then moving to the district 11 years ago. An old resident, Mr R Crawford, died aged 76. A groom, Mat O Keefe, at the Commercial Hotel, was thrown from a horse and hospitalized. A southern influenza death followed a sudden illness on Sunday.
