Accident injures son of Seymour resident
A son of Mr A Wallis of Seymour was struck on the head while cutting wood on Wednesday afternoon. The axe head detached and caused a deep wound requiring several stitches. W Kearney of Rushworth reported the theft of a Dux bicycle valued at £18, left with a youth at a Seymour hotel on 18th inst for safekeeping and 1/11 for care. The youth, unnamed, vanished with bicycle and vanished toward Arcadia. The Metho dist Sunday school at Fern Hills held its anniversary on Sunday March 19 with a fair turnout and a tea meeting and concert on Friday the 24th. A thunderstorm and heavy rain kept some away but the program inside pleased attendees with hymns recitations and songs led by local children and adults.
