The council considers purchasing a power grader essential for road works and maintenance. The schedule for sealing and a government grant funded loan is proposed to finance a total cost of £6600 with £3000 grant. A power grader is strongly supported for improving road maintenance and the sanding and reforming schedule adopted by the council.
The St James and District Gun Club held a successful shoot last Saturday with 90 entries from Ontario and Victoria. Geo Walker of Wansaralta won, followed by Burgess of Muunsfield and A Hoot ees of St James.
