Benalla RSLA Subbranch Holds Meeting With Resignations and Plans
The Benalla Subbranch of the RSL met Monday with Mr. F Bigmore as secretary and Mr. C Pennington presiding. Alan Hyland resigned from the committee and the group agreed to record his contributions and send thanks. They announced a smoke night for March 41 with guest speaker Mr. Eva and discussed a Diggers Session from 38R club rooms funded outside branch funds. A new Anzac Day flag pole is to be erected and a young Memorial Band member may sound the Last Post with potential tuition funding. The meeting paused for a minute of silence in honor of late federal president Mr. Millhouse.
