Fossil Fish Could Link Humans to Ancestry Claims
Prof J B L Smith of Rhodes University argues the coalacanth or fish with arms may be the missing link between humans and ancient ancestors. Found near Madagascar off the Comoro Islands, the five foot blue creature dates back 50 million years. Only one other specimen was seen in 1938 off the South African coast and was allowed to rot before scientists were informed.
