A 16 year old rural Bemidji boy, William S. Friesen of Route 5, was critically injured when his 1971 Yamaha motorcycle collided with a southbound car turning into the Northern Bible Chapel on Irvine Avenue Road five miles north of Bemidji. James Healy of Cass Lake drove the car. Friesen was treated at Bemidji Hospital and the Beltrami County Sheriff's office investigates, with reports he had no lights on at 7:22 p.m. The motorcycle was listed as a total loss and the car sustained $400 damage.
