Beating and Robbery Reported in Princeton Car Theft

Princeton resident Carl Fossand told sheriff from his hospital bed that he was beaten and robbed Friday night. He described five suspects, two women and three men, who took his car and contents including a watch a 90-30 caliber deer rifle a Mauser rifle a 16 gauge shotgun and other gear.

County sells 17 parcels in quick tax-forfeit land sale

County Auditor Wayne Alsop presided over the sale of 17 tax forfeited parcels in the District Courtroom, Bertram County. Five rural parcels in Red Lake Game Preserve and four Bemidji city lots drew bids, with total receipts of 18,931 for land appraised at 11,199.87. Highest bid reached 5,000 for a Ten Lake Township lot. a Bemidji Carson's subdivision lot sold for 300 from a 15 appraised. Next sale planned for May 1973, contact County Land Commissioner Lennard Bergstrom.

Turtle Club burglarized in Beltrami County
