Cass Lake Builds Own Water System with HUD Grant

Cass Lake, the last Minnesota city to gain its own water system, completed a 300 gallon monthly setup and paid off 25 000 debt after receiving a 36 000 HUD grant. The combined water and sewer system is expected to gross 25 000 this year, funding expansion to cover 100 percent of residents.

Minnesota Senate approves 19-year-old drinking age bill

The Minnesota State Senate gave final approval to a bill raising the minimum drinking age from 18 to 19 with a September 1 effective date. A grandfather clause preserves rights for 18-year-olds already turn 18 before September 1, while those turning 18 on or after must wait a year.

Wholesale prices fall in February signaling easing inflation
