Dolls span continents in Schultz family collection
Retired Art and Ruth Schultz moved from Chicago to Long Lake near Bemidji with a doll collection spanning decades and nations. Ruth started the collection around 1941, gathering items from Greece to Jamaica, with notable pieces from Spain, Maine, England, and the French Quarter in New Orleans. The array includes sea shell and cornhusk dolls, bisque figures, a cue doll appraised at 85 dollars, and a Barbie added recently, with plans to pass the collection to their granddaughter.
