Profit taking erased early gains in soybeans, wheat, oats and corn at the Chicago Board of Trade. Farm labor force rises on favorable weather
The Agriculture Department reports a 17 percent jump in hired farm labor to 1,197,000 workers after a survey of April 6-12. Excellent field weather in most states fueled the rise, with overall average wages across pay methods at $2.66 per hour, up 24 cents from a year prior.
