Five die in pickup crashes on Minnesota highways
Two fatal crashes today in Minnesota raise the 1973 road death toll to 484. A Prior Lake man, Gordon V. Torkelson, 49, died when his pickup struck a moving double bungalow on Minn 13. On Minn 71, four men died and one was injured when two pickups collided north of Sauk Centre. Victims named were Jay Gilbert, 35, St. Cloud. Raymond Johanning, 66, Adrian. Desmond Korth, 58, Wilmont Route 1. Edward Gerdes, 52, Wilmont Route 1. The injured, Alfred Voss, 63, Worthington, was treated in St. Cloud after hospital transfer.
