Rochester slayings suspect arrested in Michigan
David J. Torgersen, 30, of Rochester Minnesota, was arrested in Grand Rapids Michigan on assault and attempted robbery charges. He is questioned in the deaths of his wife Lana 23 and children Sylvia 3 and John 14 months, and Rebecca Rathbun 14. No charges yet in the deaths. He had been in a Minnesota work release program after three years of a five year robbery sentence. A witness later nabbed him after a roadside ambush attempt north of Grand Rapids.
