The Booth family relocates from California to northern Minnesota to run Cry of the Loon Lodge. They select a lakeside resort with fieldstone fireplaces, a large library, and poetry workshops. Guests are mainly families from the Twin Cities with a steady stream from Illinois Indiana and Iowa. 70 to 75 percent return annually.
