North Country Ski Touring Festival planned in Bemidji area
The North Country Ski Touring Festival debuts over President's Day weekend February 15 to 17 with events in Bemidji Itasca and Walker. Organizers include the Bemidji and Leech Lake Area Chambers of Commerce local Jaycees ski clubs and vendors. Registration covers all activities and a small fee. Adventures in Contrast ski course at Bemidji State College
Gary Barrer John Bender Gerald Manley Chris Nelson Roger Nelson from Bemidji completed a four day cross country skiing and outdoor living course called Adventures in Contrast at Bemidji State College Bald Eagle Center. The program, held in late December and early January, offered 66 participants day touring or expedition options with dormitory lodging for day tours and three night camping for expeditions. Participants learned Nordic skiing basics winter safety orientation outdoor cooking and survival skills along with winter ecology and snow hydrology.

BSC Financial Aid Info Open to Minnesota Students
Bemidji State College urges Minnesota high school and community college students to contact their counselors for information and the 1975-76 financial aid applications. The BSC office plans over 2.5 million in aid for about 60 percent of students and notes expanded need based eligibility due to changes in family contribution standards.
