District 31 opens for 1973-74 school year
District 31 schools begin classes Tuesday for the 1973-74 term. Dr. L. M. Wangberg urged new students to register, with elementary enrollment around 2100, junior high 1205, senior high 1069, and Lab School Bemidji State 150 plus Vocational School about 300. Some courses at the Vocational School remain open. St. Philip's Catholic school projects 170-180 students, Seventh Day Adventist School about 45. Pre schools and special education spaces will be used at Riverside Elementary.
