Red Lake Fair blends tradition with modern progress
The Red Lake Indian Fair on the reservation featured traditional pow wow events at the grounds and modern exhibits at the high school gym. Highlights included dances and a crowd-favored garden displays with prizes, plus the crowning of Linda Johnson as Red Lake Princess. Bill Dudley and Dan Needham performed in regalia while Henry Johnson marked his 40th consecutive pow wow. Delegations from Ontario to Illinois attended, reflecting wide regional participation.
