Funeral services for Irving W. Lindgren and Emil Eichstadt were conducted in Solway and Bemidji churches with burial in local cemeteries. Sister M. Hedwige Siminski of Mount St. Benedict died, with services in Crookston. several local residents and families are named as survivors.

Bell burying drop lines to protect ecology in area
Bell Telephone workmen bury drop wires from poles to homes in Breezy Hill Lavinia area using a vibrating blade to avoid digging. The project aims to reduce storm damage and preserve the ecology as 63.6 miles underground last year and about 220000 feet so far this year at around 300 sites.

A 745 a.m. collision on an unnamed township road north of Highway 2 West caused several hundred dollars in damage with no injuries. Joy Mac Johnson of Bemidji sustained about 400 dollars in damage to her car. Lawrence Lee Nelson of Bemidji Route 6 had about 350 dollars in damage to his vehicle.
